Bathroom flooring is important and that’s why we want to walk you through some options and tell you a little about the process. The flooring of a bathroom ties together the entire bathroom, it sets the tones and it needs to be durable as water will be sitting on the flooring from time to time. There is no idea for flooring that is too bold or simple for us, we just can’t wait to get to work and change your space for the better.
Bathroom Tile Ideas
We have built many bathrooms and have therefore seen a numerous amount of bathroom flooring styles from natural and plain to out there pink. We know what ends up working and we have seen dream bathrooms come to life. We love nothing more than going through the entire process with you, whether you are just changing the flooring of your bathroom or remodeling the entire room. With that said, changing the flooring on its own can make a huge improvement to a bathroom.
Subway Tile Bathroom
If you are wondering what a subway tile bathroom is then we can explain that for you right away. It's simply tiling that reminds you of a subway station. The tile itself is rectangular and shaped just like a brick except for its ceramic. We will be able to show you an example of one of the previous projects that we used the subway tiling style for both a contemporary and a traditional bathroom. These tiles come in various colors, so you don’t have to only think about the white effect in a subway but with that said the white tiles on the walls of the bathroom look modern and slick.
When you tile a bathroom floor, you need to take into consideration that the material that you choose will get wet in a bathroom, especially if it's the main bathroom with a shower or bath. This is why vinyl flooring, tile, or wood are popular flooring choices. These three materials are also cheaper and lower maintenance than other options. Natural stone is another popular choice. We will show you previous work for you to get a better idea of the different styles and see what you prefer. If you are already set on a type of flooring, then we can't wait to get started.
If you already have flooring put down in your bathroom, then we will have to begin the process by removing the existing flooring. After this step, we can go ahead with measuring the floor and cutting the tiles to fit perfectly on the floor. We will then place the cut flooring down to see if it fits all together without putting the thin-set mortar down. Once we can see the tiles do fit, then we can remove them and add a layer of thin-set mortar before placing all the tiles down. We then wait for it to dry for about 24 hours. After the wait is over, we apply grout and the process continues.
